Wipe dust off with a dry cloth. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry away from radiators and direct sun, which is what cracks leather. A neutral colourless balm two or three times a year is all the feeding it needs; test it on the base first and expect it to look slightly darker for a day. Light scratches rub out under a finger.

Yes, and unevenly, which is the point. Full-grain leather darkens where it is handled and where light reaches it, so the handles and the front panel move first. It is not a defect and it is not covered by the guarantee, because it is the material doing what it was chosen to do.

How do I keep a watch in it?

Accepted Answer

Unclip the strap, wrap it around the cushion and lay the watch face up. A wound watch keeps better lying flat than propped against the side of a drawer. The cushions lift out if a strap is unusually thick.
