How do I look after the leather?

Wipe dust off with a dry cloth. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry away from radiators and direct sun, which is what cracks leather. A neutral colourless balm two or three times a year is all the feeding it needs; test it on the base first and expect it to look slightly darker for a day. Light scratches rub out under a finger.

Will it get darker over time?

Yes, and unevenly, which is the point. Full-grain leather darkens where it is handled and where light reaches it, so the handles and the front panel move first. It is not a defect and it is not covered by the guarantee, because it is the material doing what it was chosen to do.

Will it stop my keys scratching my phone?

That is what it is for. Gathered into leather the keys stop moving against each other and against whatever else is in the pocket. Keep the key you use daily on the outside of the ring so it comes to hand first.
